The best part of the show was Hansa’s excitement to learn new English words and who can forget Praful’s way to explain English words that gave way to laughter. 3. Kasamh Se
Balaji Telefilms produced the soap opera, and it was premiered on Zee TV. The show’s story revolved around three sisters who lost their parents and relocated to one of their acquaintance-Jai Walia’s gust house. After a series of events, the elder sister Bani had to marry and Jai. During the lockdown, the saga reran on the same channel, and we were delighted to watch again. It was one of the best serials of that time.
4. Jamai Raja
This was one of its kind TV serials that were based on the relationship between a son-in-law and his mother-in-law-DD (Durga Devi). While DD, as her family members and others fondly call her, is a well-known businessman, Sidharth Kurana (Sid) also belongs well to her family. However, he has to fack the life of a poor man due to some reason. Later he falls in love with DD’s daughter. The USP of the show was it’s unique them. It is was one of the top-rated serials of Zee TV. Owing to the fan following the series, recently, a web series with the same name was released in 2019. It had similar characters; however, the storyline was different.
5. Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai
Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai was all about the affluent Gurati family that leaves in south Bombay. The USP of the serial was its unique characters that include Rosesh, Maya, Monisha Sarabhai. We loved watching sweet bantars between Maya and Monisha, who are never on the same page. While Monisha is a typical middle class, as said by Maya, she loves to bargain with vendors.

The family drama was premiered in the year 1986. It revolved around the aftermath of the partition. The family saga was one of the first TV serials that were released. It had a massive fan following.
